Vacheron Constantin, Cal K1001 Rare Two-Tone Dial, Manual Wind Circa 1950s
This is a rare Vacheron Constantin manual winding watch made in stainless steel with a rare two-tone dial and Arabic markers.
Two famous calibers in five bridges, the sub-seconds K1001 and the center-seconds K1002 formed the basis of Vacheron & Constantin’s reputation in the 1950s and 60s. These incredibly elegant movements were matched only by the 12 ligne hand-winds of Patek Philippe, and experts classify the 1001/2 to be among the very finest indirect center-seconds hand-winds ever produced.
The K1001 movement features elegant curve and sweep of five bridges, a free-sprung Gyromax balance, full Côtes de Genève finishing, adjustments, and the Geneva hallmark.
This 34mm watch is pristine and original inside and out. The case appears unpolished, and the dial is original with an eggshell fish in the center. Just a very discreet, beautiful, and classic dress watch.
Screw-in waterproof back. Movement, Case and Dial are all signed and in beautiful original condition.
