Patek Philippe Ref 3450, Crica 1985, Gübelin Double Signed Dial
Extremely rare and beautiful Patek Ref 3450 with a perfect dial, double signed Gübelin retailer. Dating to 1985 this is one of the last 3450s to leave production with a sapphire crystal.
Patek perpetual calendar watches date to the 1920s, but Ref 3450 was the first Patek Philippe with a leap year indicator window. It was introduced in in 1981 as an upgrade to Ref 3448. This ref. 3450 is not only important as the link between Patek Philippe's vintage perpetual calendar models to their modern references, it is also exceptionally rare. Throughout its five-year production run lasting until 1985, only a total of 244 examples were produced,. The one we have featured here is further distinguished for its rarity because of the Gubelin prestige retailer signature on the dial.
This watch comes with its original wooden presentation box and Archival Extract. The watch is in excellent condition and the case with its good hallmarks appears unpolished.
Ref 3450 measures 37 mm in diameter, giving it a contemporary heft and presence on the wrist.
