The Ref. 1503, a rare and stylish manual-winding wristwatch, with unusual, faceted teardrop lugs, was introduced by Patek Philippe in 1941 and featured a 35.5 mm. wide case, which was quite big for a dress watch in the 1940s.
The original silver dial has aged very well and appears untouched with hard raised enamel signature above the large subsidiary seconds register. The applied Roman numerals – arranged horizontally – add another notable and unusual element to this already gorgeous dial.
This rare Patek Philippe is powered by a caliber 12-120 PS manual wind movement. This rare timepiece comes with an Archive from Patek Philippe and its original Patek tang buckle.
