This is an extremely rare and coveted – all original – 2nd execution Ref 2446 with a matte black dial and steel dauphine hands which have patinated to a beautiful deep orange color.
The white sub-dials show a minimal and homogenous fume patina, but remain free from spotting or dirt.
The watch case with screw-down back is 39 mm and appears to be unpolished, with beautiful long beveled, sharp lugs. The watch is further more desirable, because it was a military issue watch to the Argentine Airforce. The air force logo and the military serial number 727 are visible on the case back.
The watch comes from the first owner in Germany. The watch was recently serviced, runs with a high amplitude, keeping very accurate time. (275°; +2s/d).
