With a limited production of 900 pieces a year, Journe wanted to offer an even more exclusive model available only for existing owners of an FP Journe watch, made in platinum with a distinguished black dial, and sell it only through their own boutiques. That's how the black label collection was born.
This particular model which embeds the best of the brand was made only for a short time and was discontinued in 2021.
The Chronometre Souverin is a precision chronometer that was inspired by the marine chronometers of early 19th Century. It is constructed in the purest of chronometer traditions with a extra-flat 4 mm thick movement with 18k gold plates and bridges. There are two barrels of homogenous movement delivering a linear force to the escapement for over 56 hours. The escapement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
To be sure, Journe has invented many interesting movements with novelty fucntions but in my honest opinion the CS Souverin Marine Chronometer represents the best of the company in its purest form.
The watch is in immaculate condition with really faint signs of wear. I has never been polished. The watch is delivered with its original coffin box, platinum buckle and a certificate of authenticity from FP Journe dated 2020. The original warranty card, which is not out-dated was misplaced.
