This is a rare Doxa chronograph from 1940s in an oversized case with and exceptionally preserved golden color gilt dial and Art Deco numbers.

Throughout the 1940s, Doxa manufactured some of the most attractive gilt dial chronographs ever made, characterized by unique typefaces, serpentine-esque scales, and tastefully understated aesthetics as a whole. This example is no exception, with elongated, art deco numerals placed perfectly between two stages of scales, and a set of minimalist, stick-like hands which trace the dial.

Valjoux 22 manual wind movement is clean and running well. This is a very robust movement used in many chronos of the period including Rolex 2508.

From a design and condition perspective, this watch is as good as a vintage watch gets and great value for the money.
