This is a  fine and rare platinum perpetual calendar wristwatch with moon phase indicator, produced by Patek Philippe, Genève circa 1993. This highly attractive early model 3940 bears a number of details that distinguish it from later models: enamel and gold moon phase, two-tone 24 hour indicator, leap year indicator that advances gradually through the year (as opposed to jump), clear unpolished hallmarks on the side of the case (as opposed to under the lugs). Movement is the Patek Philippe automatic Caliber 240 Q with 22kt winding rotor, 27 jewels, with power reserve of approximately 46 hours. The caliber is engraved with the Geneva Seal. Philippe buckle, case, dial and movement signed. 36 mm. diam.
