The 27 SC is a strong reliable workhorse powering some of Patek’s top perpetual calendars of the period. It has the Geneva Quality hallmark, and it’s rhodium plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It’s constructed with 18 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance that’s adjusted for heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions, a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and a micrometer regulator.
The Patek Philippe Calatrava line was introduced in 1932, but during the whole time there have only been a few references in stainless steel with center second hands.
