Description
This is a very special and super-rare watch with a chrono hand and a minute counter that run continuously, and both fly back with the push of a single button. The ref 5681 chronostop comes with a mint two-tone dial; an unpolished and oversized case; and a striking red counter. An archival document from Longines attests to the matching serial numbers and sale of the watch in 1946 in Prague. The presentation of this watch is further enhanced by Longines presentation box and stainless steel buckle.
The watch is equipped with caliber 12.68ZStop which has been modified to offer a unique and simple reading of time: the center chrono hands (for the seconds and minutes) run continuously and have a synchronized flyback fucntionality. As displayed this fucntion was patented at the beginning of 1940s but was made in limited numbers.
Dimensions: 37.5 mm diameter, 12mm thickness
