This impressive A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 timepiece (ref. 101.032) features the L901.0 mechanical manual winding movement with 53 jewels, 9 of the jewels hand mounted on gold chitons, a solid silver dial with pink gold markers and hands, Lange’s patented large date display, a small seconds sub-dial, UP/DOWN power-reserve indicator, a sapphire-crystal, and a transparent case back showing off the exquisite movement.
The movement is a marvel of German engineering featuring a shock absorber mechanism, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance that’s adjusted to 5 positions. It includes the patented fan-shaped, hand-engraved balance cock with a horseshoe-shaped precision whiplash index adjuster. There is a self-compensating flat balance spring, a hand-engraved balance bridge, and a swan-neck micrometer regulator. Lange 1 has approximately 72 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
The mirror polished rose gold case is 38.5mm in diameter and 10mm thick. The timepieces comes with a dark brown crocodile strap with an 18k rose gold tang buckle.
